There was a time when aluminum pool screen enclosures were black. If mold and mildew grew on them, who could tell? It was only the screen that people cared about! And then they only cared if it was becoming green on the inside of the enclosure as well as the outside... |
But then something happened. Pool enclosures started appearing with spars made of WHITE aluminum! And that is how we discovered that there was pollen, mold and mildew growing on our metal spars. |

Fortunately, this can be cleaned of using a pressure washer and chlorine bleach. First, the screen and spars must be bleached down until they are fully covered. You do this one section at a time so the bleach doesn't dry. |
Then you blast it off and it comes off nice and clean! It sounds easy and it really is. Unfortunately, it's also pretty nasty work, which is just one of the reasons that you call me! I charge $80 for most pool enclosures and their pool decks. For those that are much higher, it must be seen for me to properly estimate. And, if the screen has been neglected for so long that other advanced forms of fungus are growing on it, it may be impossible to get it all off. And if it does come off, it will be pretty expensive. SO DON'T WAIT! |
